Take back PoK, split Pak into two: Revanth to Modi

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Attending a candlelight vigil in the city against the Pahalgam terrorist attack, he said Pakistan should again be divided into two parts, like Indira Gandhi had done after the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
“Modiji, aap Pakistan ko muh tod jawab deejiye (give a befitting reply to Pakistan),” he told a large gathering on Necklace Road. “Four crore people of Telangana and 140 crore people of the country are standing united behind you. This is not the time for politics. This is a very emotional moment. The time for compromise is over. Take full-fledged action against terrorism and Pakistan. Ensure Pakistan-occupied Kashmir becomes a part of Indian territory.”

Revanth led a rally with leaders from all parties and all sections of society from the Peoples’ Plaza to the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road. Foreign delegates from about 100 countries who came for the Bharat Summit and senior Congress leaders also participated in the vigil.
AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, his party MLAs and MLCs, and many corporators too attended the event. Owaisi walked along with Revanth and other leaders, holding candles.
Revanth added: “I want to tell Modiji that in 1962 when China attacked our country, Jawaharlal Nehru gave them a befitting reply. When Pakistan attacked India in 1971, Indira Gandhi gave a ‘muh tod jawab’, broke Pakistan, and created Bangladesh. Then, Atal Behari Vajpayee termed Indira Gandhi as Durga Mata. Modiji, you are a Durga Mata Bhakt. Please remember Durga Mata, and take steps against Pakistan.”
The CM also said when the country was peacefully progressing on the path of development, terrorists, sponsored by Pakistan, entered our country and killed innocent tourists. He appealed to the PM to ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
