Thane: A 30-year-old woman and her three minor daughters allegedly died by suicide on Saturday at their residence in the Fenepada area of Bhiwandi city, said police.
The woman’s husband, who works at a local powerloom, was away at work on a night shift. He returned on Saturday morning to see his wife and their three daughters—aged 13, 11, and eight years—hanging from the ceiling fan following which he alerted the police.

“The woman took tailoring jobs to support family expenses, and there seemed to be no financial distress. Prima facie, there is no visible trigger that could have led the woman to take the step. We also found a suicide note where the woman said no one should be blamed for their deaths. We have registered an accidental death case now,” said SI Krushnadev Kharade, Bhiwandi city police station.
