Sudanese student, friends robbed | Bengaluru News
Bengaluru: A 25-year-old Sudanese national and two of his friends were robbed of Rs 15,000 by a gang of four armed miscreants past Thursday midnight.
According to a complaint filed by Osama, a BCA student at a private college in Kothanur, he went to his friend’s house in Govindarpua, near Nagawara. As his friend had gone to watch a football match, Osama waited for him inside the house. Around 2am, a gang of four men knocked on the door. As Osama opened the door, the armed men barged into the house and asked him for drugs. As Osama said he didn’t have any, the men assaulted him.
They stayed in the house until 5am when Osama’s friend Borse John and another returned. The gang assaulted the three and snatched their mobile phones. In a bid to rob the trio, one of the miscreants swung a knife at Osama, who sustained a minor injury in his leg. The gang robbed the trio of Rs 15,000 and returned their mobile phones before escaping.
Based on Osama’s complaint, Govindapura police have taken up the case of robbery.
“We are analysing the CCTV footage in the surrounding areas,” a senior officer said.
