Hyderabad: Dozens of students from a govt gurukul school at Korutla in Jagtial district were admitted to the hospital after falling ill in their hostel on Tuesday. While most were discharged after receiving treatment, a few students remained under medical observation. In response, the district medical and health department set up a medical camp on the school premises.
According to school authorities, the students initially reported symptoms of fever and cough. As more students developed high fever on Tuesday, officials promptly informed parents and shifted the students to the hospital.
Health officials confirmed that the situation is under control and all students currently under care are stable. “Blood and urine samples of all affected students have been collected for further analysis to determine the exact cause of the illness,” said a health official.
