State nudges Cidco to act on 30 illegal temples – The Times of India
Navi Mumbai: The Urban Development Department (UDD) has issued a reminder on action required against 30 unauthorised temples constructed precariously on Belapur hill slopes in Navi Mumbai, revealed an RTI information. The Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission (MSHRC) had earlier ruled against the illegal construction. According to Cidco records, these unauthorised structures occupy 2.3 lakh square feet of hillside area.
Earlier, Cidco took action and demolished a few structures which cropped up yet again. — B B Nayak
