State issues workbook on ‘Happy Sat’ | Mumbai News – Times of India


Mumbai: With the ‘Happy Saturday’ initiative introduced in state board schools from this academic year, the state has come out with a workbook on how to make Saturdays fun for children from class 1 to 8.
School education department in March issued a GR emphasising the need to create a playful environment to make learning fun. Schools can engage in games, hand puppet talk, computers and environment-related activities on Saturdays.Yoga, meditation can be included to help students relieve stress. Disaster management, financial management, road safety, mindfulness, relationship management can also be incorporated on Saturdays.
The directives are not applicable to non-state board schools. tnn
