State hosts event on arthroscopy

Bhubaneswar: The inaugural edition of the Odisha Operative Arthroscopy Course (OOAC) 2025 was held here on Sunday, bringing together experts to discuss advancements in arthroscopic surgery. Organised under the aegis of the Odisha Arthroscopy Society and Kalinga Hospital, the event featured over 20 national faculty members specialising in arthroscopy and sports injury management.
During the inauguration, deputy chief minister KV Singh Deo was present as senior orthopaedic consultant and sports surgeon Ranajit Panigrahi highlighted the transformative impact of arthroscopic surgery on sports professionals. “With cutting-edge advancements in arthroscopic surgery, many sports professionals can now return to their previous levels of performance after injury,” said Panigrahy.
Panigrahi emphasised that the latest developments in arthroscopic surgery offer significant benefits not only to sportspersons but also to the general public suffering from ligament injuries.
