State Gets ₹3,900cr Connectivity Projects | Bhubaneswar News


Bhubaneswar: Marking the 100 days of NDA govt at the Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones and dedicated several railways and national highway projects worth Rs 3,900 crore to the nation here on Tuesday. The projects will strengthen rail network across industrial, resource rich and tribal-dominated regions of Odisha.
On his 74th birthday, Modi also released the first instalment of assistance to nearly 10 lakh beneficiaries under Prime Minister Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) in 14 states.He took part in griha pravesh celebrations of 26 lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Gramin and Urban) from across the country and handed over house keys to beneficiaries.
Awaas+ 2024 App, for survey of additional households for PMAY-G, and the operational guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0 were also launched by the PM on the occasion.
He dedicated the Lanjigarh Road-Ambodala-Doikalu railway line, Lakshmipur Road-Singaram-Tikri railway line, Dhenkanal-Sadashivpur-Hindol Road railway line to the country, which is set to eliminate surface crossings, ensuring smoother and uninterrupted train movements in Paradip Port.
He also laid foundation to increase connectivity from Paradip Port, including a flyover between Siju and Paradip Coaching Yard.
“Work on Puri to Konark railway line and the high-tech ‘Namo Bharat Rapid Rail’ will also be started soon and modern infrastructure will open new doors of possibilities for Odisha,” Modi said.
