SS Pattnaik: SS Pattnaik becomes OSOU vice-chancellor | Bhubaneswar News
Bhubaneswar: Governor and chancellor of state public universities, Raghubar Das, on Thursday appointed Shyam Sundar Pattnaik as vice-chancellor of Odisha State Open University (OSOU), Sambalpur. He will remain in the post for three years.
Pattnaik is currently serving as professor and head of media engineering department, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chandigarh.He was vice-chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, for more than two years between March 2015 and July 2017. He has 33 years of teaching experience, guided 24 PhD scholars and authored 13 books. He has administrative experience too. “I will try to offer online courses and make the institution a digital university. I will closely work with the govt to solve the recruitment issue and run the university smoothly,” said Pattnaik.
