KRISHNAGIRI: Residents and forest department officials rescued a spotted deer that fell into an agricultural well in Pukkasagaram village in Krishnagiri district in the early hours of Tuesday.
The deer, which ventured out of the forest in search of water, was chased by stray dogs. It suffered a leg fracture when it fell into the well while being chased by dogs.
After its rescue from the well, veterinary doctors treated the deer’s broken leg. Its condition is stable. The deer would be released into its natural habitat once its leg fracture heals.
