Special Trains for Devotees during Shravani Mela by Indian Railways | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Owing to huge rush in ‘Shravani mela’ commencing from July 21, the railways has decided to run at least five pairs of ‘Shravani mela special trains’ originating from different stations of the East Central Railway (ECR) to facilitate devotees to reach Deoghar.
ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said Patna-Madhupur mela special (03265/03266) will run from July 21 to August 21 leaving Patna Junction daily at 11.10pm and reaching Jasidih next day at 4.50am and Madhupur at 4.50am.On its return, it will leave Madhupur at 5am and reach Jasidih at 5.45am and Patna Junction at 12pm the same day, he said.
Similarly, Gaya-Madhupur mela special (03653/03654) will run from July 21 to August 21 via Nawada-Kiul-Jhajha-Jasidih route leaving Gaya daily at 5pm and reaching Jasidih at 11.05pm and Madhupur at 11.50pm the same day.
On its return, it will leave Madhupur at 1am and reach Jasidih at 1.30am and Gaya at 10.25am, the CPRO said.
Jayanagar-Asansol mela special (05597/05598) will run three days in a week from July 23 to August 21 leaving Jayanagar every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 10pm and reaching Jasidih next day at 9.10am and Asansol at 11.30am.
On its return, it will leave Asansol every Wednesday, Saturday and Monday at 1pm and reach Jasidih at 2.32pm and Jayanagar at 4.20pm, he said.
Raxaul-Deoghar mela special (05551/05552) will run three days in a week from July 21 to August 20 leaving Raxaul every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 1.38pm and reaching Deoghar at 4.45pm.
