COIMBATORE: Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko‘s father died on the spot after the vehicle in which he was travelling with his family collided with a stationary truck near Palacode in Dharmapuri district.The 41-year-old actor, Shine Tom Chacko from Thrissur in Kerala state, sustained severe injuries in the mishap.Police said actor Shine Tom Chacko and his family members were travelling to Bengaluru from Thrissur in a car for a medical check-up for his father, CP Chacko.When the car was travelling near Paraiyur at Palacode in Dharmapuri district, the driver, Anis, 42, lost control of the car and hit a stationary truck. The front portion of the car was completely mangled, and the actor’s father, Chacko, died on the spot.The actor Shine, his brother Joe John Chacko, and the actor’s manager Anis sustained injuries. Upon receiving information, the Palacode police rushed to the spot, rescued the injured, and admitted them to the Dharmapuri govt Medical College Hospital for treatment.The body of Chacko was sent to the morgue at the Dharmapuri govt Hospital for an autopsy.
