Patna: The railways has extended the services of 10 more special passenger trains either originating from or passing through the East Central Railway (ECR) to clear the rush of passengers. The railways has already extended services of more than 12 special trains on different routes.
The ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra said the Puri-Patna (08439/08440) will run every Saturday from Puri till September 28 and till September 29 from Patna.“The Gawalior-Barauni (04137/04138) will be in operation till July 31, leaving Gawalior every Sunday and Barauni every Monday,” he said.
Similarly, services of the Howrah-Khatipura (03007/03008) have been extended till July 30, leaving Howrah every Sunday and Khatipura every Tuesday.
“The Asansol-Khatipura (03509/03510) will be in operation till July 30, leaving Asansol every Tuesday and Khatipura every Wednesday,” the CPRO said, adding that the Malda Town-Khatipura (03409/03410) will also be in operation till July 27, leaving Malda Town every Thursday and Khatipura every Friday via DDU-Patna-Kiul route.
