Hyderabad: In the murky world of crime, Rahul, alias Bholu, was a serial killer whose bizarre habits make him an unlikely criminal. Arrested by the Govt Railway Police (GRP) in Secunderabad, 29-year-old Rahul is a man with strange addictions: beedis and milk.
While beedis were his primary vice, milk became his secondary obsession, a strange comfort in his otherwise violent and chaotic life.
A few years ago, Rahul was thrown out of his home due to his criminal activities, which only intensified his aggression. Forced to survive on stolen property, his descent into a life of crime was complete. An accident in his childhood left him with a permanent injury on his left leg, but lack of medical treatment turned him into a physically challenged man.
According to a GRP official, Rahul became particularly sensitive to noise after his injury. Loud sounds or quarrels would irritate him to the point of rage. In fact, it was a petty argument with a woman on the Belagavi-Manuguru special train that pushed him to murder her. The woman had confronted him about smoking a beedi on the train and threatened to report him to police. This small altercation led to her tragic death.
Rahul’s killing spree didn’t stop there. Three more victims followed, all murdered after seemingly trivial disputes.
The GRP is still gathering details about these incidents, the official said.
Rahul’s criminal earnings funded his addiction to milk and beedis. He was frequently seen purchasing his fix from stalls near railway stations or eating at free food donation camps.
