Seers from Russia, Ukraine to hold yagya at Mela

Prayagraj: Around 100 seers and sadhus from abroad, including war-hit Ukraine and Russia, will participate in the ‘Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagya‘ at the camp of Maha Yogi Pilot Baba, located at Sangam Lower Marg in Sector 18 between Jan 26 and 30. Seers and saints from these two countries have started arriving at the Mela area to participate in spiritual and religious activities in Maha Kumbh, beginning from Jan 13.
Camp organiser Anil Singh told TOI, “We are setting up a giant pandal for organising Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagya, which will be attended and carried out by over 100 seers from foreign countries, including Ukraine and Russia. Two double-storey cottages for seers arriving from abroad, including Russia and Ukraine, are being constructed at the camp of Maha Yogi Pilot Baba. Moreover, over 200 seers from countries, including Japan, USA, UK, Russia, Ukraine, and others, would be performing special yajna and rituals during their stay at the camp during the 45 days of Maha Kumbh.”
Singh, meanwhile, informed that first shanti yagya was organised in Nov 2022 in Sasaram of Bihar. It was then held in Ahmedabad and Somnath in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
This yagya will also be attended by Yog Mata and Mahamandleshwar Juna Akhara Keiko Aikawa, Yog Shradha Mata, and Yog Chetna Mata. The cottages are being constructed with steel, fibre, cloth, and other materials exhibiting unique artwork.
