Security breach: Drone seized over Telangana state secretariat; two arrested | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: In a major security breach, TGSPF personnel caught two individuals flying a drone above the Telangana State Secretariat and seized the device.
Following the incident, based on a complaint from TGSPF personnel deployed at the Secretariat, a case was registered against four persons at Saifabad police station, and an investigation was initiated. The incident occurred on the night of March 11 and came to light on Friday.
According to the police, security personnel performing sentry duties at the South East Tower of the Secretariat noticed a drone flying near the duty post and over the lawn area of the Secretariat premises. They immediately alerted their superiors.
A team was promptly deployed to trace the individuals operating the drone. Two persons were found flying the drone, apprehended, and the drone was seized from their possession.
The individuals were identified as Yetala Vamshi, a camera operator, and S. Nagaraju, a supervisor (outsourcing) with GHMC. Both, along with the drone, were handed over to Saifabad police for further investigation.
Saifabad police stated that the case is currently under investigation.
