Scientists sensitised about IPR | Patna News – Times of India


Patna: Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU) on Monday organised a day-long workshop on “Demystifying Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” to sensitise its scientists and faculty members about the importance of IPR for protecting their research works. Experts on IPR from across the country participated in the workshop.
Inaugurating the workshop, RPCAU’s vice-chancellor P S Pandey emphasised the need for safeguarding the intellectual property generated by the ongoing researches.“Intellectual property plays a vital role in the modern economy and, hence, the intellectual labour associated with the research and innovation should be given due importance,” he said.
Highlighting the significant improvement in the university’s research works and development in recent times, he said the intellectual property rights of the scientists must be protected at all costs. The university is committed to providing all possible support to its scientists in this regard, he said.
