41 schools shut due to Maoist violence reopen as primary schools
Forty-one schools in Bastar, previously closed due to Naxal violence, have reopened as primary institutions. The education department has introduced the National Education Policy 2020 in these schools, enrolling 532 students, including 250 girls. Teachers and Shikshadoots are trained for foundational literacy and numeracy. This initiative aims to engage youth in productive activities and deter them from joining Naxalism.
