SC survey by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike commences | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: Within the first five days of BBMP’s citywide Scheduled Castes enumerationdrive, around 14k SC households and four lakh non-SC households were surveyed across Bengaluru. BBMP chief commissioner Maheshwar Rao, in a review meeting, directed officials to expedite the process and address glaring gaps, especially in areas which reported zero surveys.Rao stated, “This survey is the foundation for inclusive development. We must reach every eligible family and set a benchmark for other cities.” He also called for improved training in the mobile app used for data collection and announced a dedicated server and support team to manage technical issues. The survey, which began on May 5, aims to build a robust socio-economic profile of SC communities to inform future policy interventions.
