Berhampur: Saraswati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School, Nilakantha Nagar, has achieved 100% results in science and commerce streams in Plus II, the results of which were declared on Wednesday.With this, the privately-run school has achieved the rare distinction of 100% results in a row for 17 and 14 years in the science and commerce streams respectively.All 568 and 163 students in the science and commerce streams, who appeared for the examinations passed this time, said S. Mohan Rao, principal of the school. Moreover, a record number of 129 students in science and 30 students in commerce secured above 90% marks.Out of a total of 568 students in the science stream, 553 secured first division (above 60% marks), while 14 and one got second (above 50% marks) and third (below 50% marks) divisions, respectively, he said. In commerce, out of a total of 165 students, 146 got first division, 18 second division, and only one passed in third division, he said.Sriyalisha Devi and Milan Das secured the highest marks of 578 and 577 out of 600 in the science stream. Similarly, Sreyashi Geetanjali stood first in the school in the commerce stream, securing 571 out of 600 marks, said the principal.He said our teachers were constantly in touch with students and guided them throughout the year, for which the school achieved 100% results for 17 (science) and 14 (commerce) years in a row.The school has also achieved 100% results for the last 33 years in the high school certificate (HSC) examinations, while all of its 363 students passed the HSC examination this year. While 77 of them got A-1 grade with above 90% marks, 132 and 96 students grabbed A2 grade (80 to 89%) and B1 grade (70 to 79%) respectively. Similarly, 50 students secured B-2 grade (60 to 69%), and six and two students secured C and D grades respectively, said the principal.Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir was established in 1979. The first batch of the Plus II (science) appeared for the examination in 2009, and the first batch of commerce was in 2012.
