Sanjay Raut takes on Fadnavis over Aurangzeb tomb issue | Mumbai News – The Times of India

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Friday said BJP‘s attempt to stir up sentiments over Aurangzeb’s tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar backfired, prompting the party to focus on the death case of celebrity manager Disha Salian.
Raut said no one’s permission was taken while demolishing the Babri mosque, and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis should take a spade and dig up Aurangzeb’s grave. “I saw a photo of Fadnavis going for Kar Seva. He should also come out now. He should take a spade and go and dig the grave,” Raut said.
“BJP tried to raise the Aurangzeb issue, but they were not successful. They tried a lot to remove Aurangzeb from his grave and, in fact, the Aurangzeb issue backfired on them. Now, to hide their defeat, they have raised this issue of Disha Salian,” Raut said.
Raut alleged Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, had claimed five years ago that he was under pressure from BJP leaders. “The state govt is scared of Aaditya Thackeray. Hence, they raised this issue. We have exposed Devendra Fadnavis’ govt on all issues,” Raut said.
“The issue of Aurangzeb’s grave is meaningless at this moment. The RSS has also said this. BJP netas should openly say they support the removal of Aurangzeb’s grave. I do not think that CM Fadnavis wrote any letter to the central govt to remove Aurangzeb’s grave. They have their own govt in the state and police,” Raut said.
