Sachin Pilot Criticizes Yogi Adityanath’s Controversial Slogan | Mumbai News – Times of India

Pune: Sachin Pilot of Congress on Sunday criticised UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath over the ‘Batenge toh Katenge’ slogan and said that instead of speaking about the development projects in the state, a person holding a constitutional post is making inflammatory statements. “Padhoge to Badhoge (you will progress if you study) should have been the slogan and not Batenge toh Katenge,” said Pilot while interacting with the media during his Pune leg of the poll-related visits across Maharashtra. Criticising the campaign of Mahayuti, Pilot said, “During the assembly campaigns, we were expecting some debate on real issues of farmers, students, and common people. However, since BJP and its allies had nothing to show in terms of development, they have been raising issues like Pakistan and Hindu-Muslim which have no relevance in Maharashtra’s polls. However, the people of Maharashtra will not fall prey to such a campaign,” Pilot said. —Anurag Bende
