RSS chief arrives on 5-day visit | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Bhubaneswar on Thursday for a five-day visit to Odisha. He attended a meeting to pay tribute to Shibaram Mahapatra, the former chief of RSS, Odisha, who died on Jan 21.
Bhagwat said Mahapatra was a disciplined, determined, and ideal member of the sangh. “He was a perfect example of an ideal Swayamsevak. We cannot forget his contribution to the sangh in Odisha,” he added.
Bhagwat will meet swayamsevaks and leaders of organisations to discuss different issues. He will also visit ‘sakhas’ and attend their programmes. Sangathan pracharaks will meet Bhagwat here and discuss organisational issues, according to official sources.
Some members of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of Congress, showed a black flag while Bhagwat’s vehicle was passing. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) condemned the act of NSUI members.
During his visit, Bhagwat is expected to discuss various issues related to the organisation’s activities and its upcoming plans.
