Rourkela man found dead in Ganjam hotel | Bhubaneswar News

Berhampur: Police on Tuesday recovered the body of a 30-year-old man from Rourkela at a lodge in Chhatrapur in Ganjam district. The deceased was identified as Pramod Kumar Mahakuda of Tangarpali, Rourkela.
He arrived at the hotel on Monday evening where he and some of his friends consumed liquor in the room. In the morning, the hotel staff found his body lying on the bed and informed the police. Police suspect he might have died due to excess consumption of liquor.
“We have sent the body for the post-mortem and informed the family members of the deceased,” said Debasish Mohanty, inspector in-charge, Chhatrapur police station.
“We are interrogating some of his friends to find out the cause of death. Further details would be known only after his family members arrive in Chhatrapur,” he said.TNN
