Rohtas youth’s killing: DSP, bodyguard shifted to police headquarters | Patna News – Times of India

Sasaram: Following the directives of the state govt, Traffic DSP Md Adil Bilal and his bodyguard Chandramauli Nagina, who were named accused in the killing of a youth and the injury of two others during a birthday party in Sasaram on Friday night, were on Tuesday shifted to the police headquarters.
Additionally, three cases related to the incident were handed over to the CID on Tuesday.
Rohtas SP, Roshan Kumar, while confirming the govt’s order to shift the two cops, said three separate cases were registered in connection with the incident at the Town police station in Sasaram. The first case was filed by the injured bodyguard, Chandramauli, against the homeowner and over 20 unidentified persons, alleging that he was forced to open fire in self-defense when party-goers attacked him and attempted to snatch his service revolver.
The second FIR was registered by the SHO of the Town police station, Rajeev Ranjan, under the Prohibition Act, after police recovered empty alcohol bottles from the scene. The third case was filed by the brother of the deceased against the DSP, his bodyguard, and other police personnel, accusing them of allegedly murdering his brother and injuring two of his friends when they refused to pay a bribe for overlooking the illegal serving of alcohol at the birthday party.
Meanwhile, minister Neeraj Kumar Singh Babloo, visited the grieving family of the deceased at Silari village under the Sheosagar police station area on Tuesday. Condemning the incident, he said the accused would be punished through a speedy trial.
