Patna: Bihar Police on Wednesday took to social media, urging citizens to make a New Year resolution to join hands with them in making the state a better and safer place to live in.
In a series of tweets, Bihar Police listed five resolutions that citizens can make to contribute to a safer society — following traffic rules, saying no to intoxicants, not spreading rumours, respecting law and order, and treating women with dignity.
Several influencers from Patna, including senior dietician Rupali Singh, model Ankita Jha and storyteller Uttam Jha, also came forward to support the initiative. They took to social media to pledge their support for the cause and urged their followers to do the same.
Singh posted, “I pledge to wear helmet while riding scooter and encourage others to do the same. Let’s make Bihar roads safer!”
Jha wrote, “I resolve to spread awareness about the dangers of intoxicants and support Bihar Police in their mission to make the state a better place.”
Medical student and model/influencer Trushika said, “Every New Year, we make some resolutions. Today, I resolve to support the Bihar Police and contribute to raising awareness about respect for women in society.”
