Record 1,07,079 Candidates Pass Bihar Police Constable Exam 2024 | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: More than one lakh candidates cleared written examination of constable recruitment, conducted by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC).
The result of the examination, which was held in August this year, was released on the CSBC website on Thursday. Around 12 lakh candidates appeared in the examination for 21,391 posts of constables.
The CSBC said that 1,07,079 candidates cleared their written examination. The constable recruitment assessment was conducted in August to fill 21,391 vacant posts in Bihar Police, including District Police, Bihar Special Armed Police and other Constable Cadre units. While as many as 1,78,7720 candidates submitted the applications, only 12 lakh took the examination.
Initially the examination, scheduled in October 2023, was cancelled following a suspected question paper leak.
Successful candidates will appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), whose separate schedule would be announced.
The written exam results category-wise are: Non-reserved category (UR) 42,780, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) 10,700, Scheduled Caste (SC) 17,000, Scheduled Tribe (ST) 1,140, Extremely Backward Class (EBC) 19,210, Backward Class (BC) 2,850 (including 56 transgender candidates), and Backward Class Women (BCW) 3,275.
The CSBC website will provide information regarding date, time, and venue of the PET. Candidates can download PET admit cards from the official website. Attendance on the specified date and time is mandatory, as absence will lead to disqualification.
