Reality show contestants land in soup for Instagram reel | Bengaluru News

Bengaluru: Cops monitoring social media activities recently found an 18-second video uploaded by Kannada reality show contestant Rajath Kishan G on his Instagram profile, captioning it as ‘bujjjjii’. Rajath and another contestant and actor, Vinay Gowda, had posed with a long sharp weapon and uploaded the clip.
According to the complaint filed by sub-inspector Bhanuprakash to the social media monitoring team in Basaveshwaranagar police station Thursday, the duo posed as rowdies in a public place by flashing the lethal weapon in the reel, creating fear and disturbing peace of society.
A senior officer said a case has been registered under Arms Act and BNS Section 270 (public nuisance). The video was uploaded on March 18, and around 52,600 people liked it, 1,061 commented, and 5,520 shared it. Kishan gave a caption, ‘bujjjjii when brother says…. I have a problem !!!! Kariya …..’.
It is learned that RR Nagar police also took note of the reel. They summoned Vinay Gowda, who explained it was for shooting purposes and apologised. The video was shot nearby.
After police tried contacting Kishan, he gave a caution message in the post stating, ‘Don’t try this at home. It’s for shooting purposes only, the property used in the shoot is a set prop.’ However, he has not deleted the video. So, police are waiting to serve notice on the duo. tnn
