Bhubaneswar: NBS Rajput, an IAS officer from the 1999 batch, has been appointed principal secretary to governor Raghubar Das. The general administration and public grievances department has issued a notification on Sunday stating that Rajput has been assigned the post upon his return from central deputation.
The notification also mentioned that Saswat Mishra, who currently serves as the principal secretary to the governor, will now take on the role of principal secretary in the finance department.
In addition to his new responsibility, Mishra will continue to hold additional duties as principal secretary of the energy department and chairman of Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission.

President Droupadi Murmu appointed veteran RSS leader Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde as the new governor of Rajasthan. Bagde has a long association with the RSS, first becoming an MLA in 1985 and serving as Maharashtra’s assembly speaker in 2014. Bagde, who hails from Aurangabad, expressed his commitment to the new role, citing his extensive experience in party work.
