Railway recruitment test concludes | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) in Patna and Muzaffarpur successfully conducted the computer-based test (CBT) for different railway posts from November 25 to December 30. The examination was held for the recruitment of loco pilots, railway protection force (RPF) assistant sub-inspectors (ASI), junior engineers and grade III technical posts across 40 centres located mostly in Patna, Ara, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Samastipur.
According to the ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Saraswati Chandra, 7,50,107 candidates were shortlisted for the CBT, of which 5,33,330 candidates had appeared for the test.”While these two RRBs had received 1,37,124 lakh applications for the post of loco candidates alone, 75,339 applications were received for junior engineer, followed by 93,548 for RPF ASI and 2, 27,319 for grade III technical posts,” he said, adding that RRB-Muzaffarpur chairman Suresh Chandra Srivastava personally supervised these examinations.
Railway sources said the CBT results are expected to be announced soon and successful candidates will move on to the next stages of the recruitment process.
