Likewise, 2,35,686 passengers from Muzaffarpur, a business hub of north Bihar, had booked their tickets through the mobile application which resulted in Rs 43.64 lakh in revenue. “Over 46,206 passengers had booked their tickets from Barauni yielding Rs 11.80 lakh as revenue for the railways,” the DRM said.
In Begusarai, altogether 1,08,180 passengers had booked their tickets through UTS which fetched Rs 20.10 lakh as revenue for the railways. “In addition, 79,196 passengers used their mobile phones to book their tickets from Khagaria which led to the earning of Rs 14.36 lakh revenue,” he said, adding that 22,491 passengers had booked their tickets from Naugachhia and which resulted in Rs 3.53 lakh revenue.
