NEW DELHI: Rahul Navin, a 1993 batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, has been appointed as the new director of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet confirmed Navin’s appointment for a period of two years.

Prior to his appointment as director, Navin was serving as the Special Director of the ED.
Earlier, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had approved the in-situ upgradation of Rahul Navin’s rank to the level of Additional Secretary, a prerequisite for the ED Director’s position.
