Rabri Devi Skips Chhath Puja Again Due to Health Issues | Patna News – Times of India

No Chhath in Rabri’s home this year too

Patna: Former CM Rabri Devi won’t perform Chhath puja this year also, owing to her health condition.
“Chhath rituals necessitate a 36-hour fast and numerous other customs. Madam is not sufficiently healthy. Besides diabetes, she occasionally struggles with blood pressure issues,” said a senior party leader. When queried about Tejashwi’s wife Rajshree possibly continuing the tradition, as this is customary in most Bihari households where daughters-in-law take the Chhath, he said, “As of now, no such plan has been heard of.”
Party spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan cited similar reasons for Rabri’s not performing the Chhath puja.
Sources said that Rabri, accompanied with her husband and party supremo Lalu Prasad and elder daughter Misa Bharti, were staying at the 10, Circular Road Bungalow. Tejashwi would return to Bihar during Chhath.
