Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officers on Tuesday arrested the principal of a Nayagarh college on charges of taking Rs 1 lakh bribe from an employee to release his salary arrears of Rs 5 lakh. “We laid a trap after receiving a complaint from the college employee. The principal was caught red-handed with Rs 1 lakh bribe. Simultaneous searches are in progress in two locations to unearth his disproportionate assets, if any,” a vigilance officer said. TNN
