President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Puri Temple: SJTA Prepares for a Grand Reception | Bhubaneswar News

Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) held a crucial Chhatisa Nijog meeting Tuesday to coordinate arrangements for President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming visit to the state for Navy Day celebrations on December 4.
The meeting, chaired by SJTA chief administrator Arabinda Padhee, focused on ensuring a smooth darshan for the president while maintaining regular temple rituals.
“Special arrangements have been made for the president’s visit scheduled between 10:15am and 10:40am on December 4,” Swain said after the meeting, which was attended by Puri collector Sidharth Sankar Swain, Chhatisa Nijog chief Janardana Pattajoshi Mohapatra and senior servitors.
A committee comprising the temple administrator (Neeti) and temple commander will oversee the coordination between the president’s visit and daily rituals.
The meeting also addressed the critical issue of Ratna Bhandar’s repair work. Following the Archaeological Survey of India’s (ASI) submission of GPS and ground penetrating radar survey reports, temple servitors provided suggestions for renovation work. “A summary report of proposed repairs will be prepared for temple administration’s approval,” Swain said. He added that ASI has assured additional govt funding if required for the renovation project.
