Poultry farm worker shot dead in Gopalganj district | Patna News – Times of India
PATNA: A 25-year-old poultry farm worker was gunned down at Piprahiya village in Barauli police station area of Gopalganj district on Sunday allegedly over an extortion demand of Rs 20 lakh from the owner.
According to the farm owner, Imran Azam, some local goons had demanded an extortion of Rs 20 lakh from him.

He has lodged a complaint with Barauli police in connection with the murder, stating that two persons had come to his farm on a bike, looking for him around 6.30am on Sunday.
As his staff member Guddu Kumar (25), a resident of Nawada village in Barauli police station area, arrived at the gate, the miscreants shot him at chest, killing him on the spot, after which they fled throwing away a note, said Azam in his complaint.
The note warned the workers of dire consequences if they kept working at the farm.
Kumar had been working at the poultry farm of Azam for the past six months, along with his three brothers and mother.
According to the complaint, in the morning, when the shooters came to the farm, Kumar’s mother first went to the main gate, when the miscreants tried to hand her the note. “When she refused to take it, the miscreants told her to call her son. As soon as Kumar went there, the miscreants shot him,” Azam said in his complaint.
Sadar subdivisional police officer (SDPO) Pranjal said prima facie, the incident appears to be related to personal enmity. “A special investigation team, including the officers of Barauli and Manjhagarh police stations, as well as the district intelligence unit, has ben formed to probe into the matter. The CCTV camera footage has been obtained from the scene. The shooter has been identified. Police are conducting raids to arrest him, while we are in process to identify his accomplice,” the SDPO said, adding that the allegation of extortion is being investigated.
Some local goons might be involved in the crime, he said.
The farm owner had also stated that the accused had earlier on June 21 fired near the main gate of his house to create panic.
