PMC to Start Fogging in City from Tomorrow | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Even as monsoon has arrived in the state capital with full vigour, over 500 teams of Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) will begin fogging and anti-larva spraying work from Thursday to check the spread of diseases like dengue and chikungunya, which become prevalent during the season. The teams will visit all the 75 wards under the jurisdiction of the PMC.
For effective implementation of the sanitization work, the 75 wards have been divided into 375 sectors, and each team will visit at least 50 houses in each sector every day for fogging and spraying.The team members have also been asked to take feedback from the places of sanitization.
“All the teams will carry a register, which will contain four questions that have to be answered by the houseowners for giving feedback related to the work,” a press statement issued by the PMC said.
“Different teams will start drive from Thursday and would visit all the areas under the PMC’s jurisdiction for fogging and anti-larva spraying to check the spread of dengue and chikungunya diseases that are common in the monsoon season,” the statement said, adding, the personnel would be equipped with mounted as well as hand-held fogging and anti-larva spray machines for the work.
Patna municipal commissioner, Animesh Kumar Parashar, has also deputed health officers to supervise and monitor the work in each circle.
Besides, the executive officers, solid-waste management officers, city managers, chief sanitary inspectors along with sanitary inspectors and supervisors of all the circles have also been given the responsibility for successful completion of the job.
