Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address industrialists and investors after inaugurating the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025, state’s flagship investment summit, on Jan 28 here. Designed to showcase Odisha’s potential as a global investment hub, the event will host a series of high-profile sessions, meetings and exhibitions aimed at attracting national and international investors.
Reviewing the preparations, chief minister Mohan Majhi on Saturday asked officers to ensure seamless and visually appealing execution to establish a distinct identity for Odisha on global platforms. “This programme will position Odisha as a preferred destination for long-term investments,” Majhi said.
The event will kick off on Jan 27 with the national executive council meeting of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Over the next two days, the summit will feature four plenary sessions, 16 sectoral sessions and four roundtable conferences. Around 3,000 participants, including industrialists, investors, startup entrepreneurs and industry professionals, are expected to attend. Principal secretary, industries department, Hemant Sharma, presented a detailed plan for the event during the review meeting.
Other major attractions include keynote addresses by prominent industrialists, a roundtable with CEOs of leading companies chaired by the CM, and dedicated sessions for Odia entrepreneurs and women business leaders.
A special session titled ‘Subhadra to Mudra’ will focus on empowering Odia women entrepreneurs. There will also be an industrial exhibition from Jan 28 to 30, providing a platform for showcasing Odisha’s industrial strengths.
Industries minister Sampad Chandra Swain, development commissioner Anu Garg, additional chief secretary to the CM, Nikunja Bihari Dhal, additional chief secretary, general administration, Surendra Kumar, and secretaries of various departments, attended the meeting.
Earlier, Majhi headed roadshows in major cities of India and in Singapore to attract national and international attention to the summit.
