PM Modi: PM’s Mann Ki Baat highlights exemplary work and extraordinary individuals | Bhubaneswar News


Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shone light on exemplary work and extraordinary people through his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme, chief minister Mohan Majhi said after listening to the 113th edition of the popular radio programme on Sunday.
“A number of individuals in rural areas are doing amazing work and the objective of the Mann Ki Baat radio programme is to support and promote them.I felt glad listening to the popular radio programme of the PM,” said Majhi.
Majhi said during Sunday’s programme, the PM spoke about nutrition. “Our govt is implementing various programmes to address malnutrition among tribals and other vulnerable groups. This will continue on a larger scale,” the CM said. In the past, PM Modi had spoken about several individuals and groups who have done extraordinary work in the country and Odisha. Isaak Munda is one among them. Isaak, a native of Sambalpur, had become an online sensation and PM Modi had said his journey from a daily wage labour to an internet sensation was inspirational.
The PM had also mentioned about Amresh Samant from Paradip, who had planted micro-forests which are now protecting many villages in Odisha. Bijay Kumar Kabji from Kendrapada also got a mention in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in the past for efforts to safeguard environment.
