Patna: A total of Rs 1.79 lakh was collected as fines from encroachers in several city areas on the second day of the special anti-encroachment drive that was launched to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city.
The anti-encroachment drive on Tuesday was conducted in areas under covering the area from IAS Colony Mor to RPS Mor. Several structures, including 35 bamboos, 28 hoardings, 18 banners, 11 handcarts, bricks and tractors among others were removed and seized,” said a district administration press release.
Patna divisional commissioner Mayank Warwade said such anti-encroachment drives would be conducted regularly so that encroachers do not occupy the locations that had been freed from encroachments.
