Panic at B N College after Firing Incident | Patna News – Times of India
Patna: Panic gripped B N College in the city following a broad daylight firing after a clash between two groups of students on Thursday afternoon.
Police said no one was injured in the firing incident, which took place around 1.15 pm at the gate of a hostel of B N College situated on Ashok Rajpath under Pirbahore police station in the state capital.
Pirbahore station house officer (SHO) Abdul Halim said that four empty shells of bullets were recovered from the spot.“We received the information about the firing around 3 pm, following which we reached the spot and started an investigation. The footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the nearby areas is being scanned. Strict action will be taken against the accused after their identification. Some people are being questioned regarding the incident,” Halim said.
Some students among those present on the campus informed the police that a fight broke out between two factions of students of B N College on the premises over dominance. One faction lives in Saidpur hostel while another at the college hostel. After the fight, the Saidpur boarders reached the hostel of the B N College and fired several rounds, they told police.
