Over 1k to get degrees at PU convocation today | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: As many as 1,237 students who have passed postgraduate (PG) examinations of Patna University (PU) in the 2022-24 session will receive their coveted degrees at the university’s convocation to be held at Patna Women’s College on Saturday. Of these, 40 scholars, including 24 girls, who topped the examinations of different courses would be awarded gold medals at the convocation.PU examination controller Shyamal Kishore said the convocation will be held at 10am at Veronica Auditorium of Patna Women’s College. Governor-cum-chancellor Arif Mohammed Khan will preside over the convocation. Guru Ghasidas University’s vice-chancellor Alok Kumar Chakrawal will deliver the convocation address. PU vice-chancellor Ajay Kumar Singh will give away degrees to the scholars.The degree recipients collected their convocation costumes at the Jay Prakash Narayan Senate House on the production of their hall tickets on Friday. The university officials and staff were there to facilitate the distribution of the costumes, including ‘angvastram’ and ‘pagdee’ (turban) among the scholars.
