Oppn disrupts assembly | Bhubaneswar News

Bhubaneswar: Question hour was disrupted on Monday as opposition BJD and Congress members raised anti-govt slogans over alleged incidents of crime in the state and stormed the well of the House.
Moments after the assembly reconvened around 10.30 am, Congress MLAs raised slogans against ‘rising’ crimes against women. They also sought the withdrawal of one-week suspension of party colleague Tara Prasad Bahinipati and created a ruckus.
BJD members raised the issue of a spurt in murder cases, highlighting the incidents during Holi, and sought a statement from CM Mohan Charan Majhi.
BJP MLA Irasis Acharya countered the opposition by saying they are only looking for pretexts to stall assembly proceedings, which is unfortunate. TNN
