While reaffirming India’s commitment to peace and non-violence, the CM warned that this commitment should not be mistaken for weakness. “India believes in peace and non-violence — principles through which Mahatma Gandhi not only led our country to independence but also contributed to the creation of Pakistan,” he said.“However, any misadventure by our neighbour will be met with a strong response. Our soldiers have the capability to wipe out Pakistan and terrorism from the global map, and this should not be forgotten,” the CM said. The CM made these remarks while participating in a rally from the secretariat to the Indira Gandhi statue on Necklace Road, held in solidarity with the armed forces and to honour Operation Sindoor. Ministers D Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar and Jupally Krishna Rao, chief secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, and thousands of civilians joined the rally, chanting slogans of Vande Mataram. At the Indira Gandhi statue, CM Revanth paid floral tributes to the victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack. He described Operation Sindoor as a fitting response to the perpetrators.“Today, 140 crore Indians stand united behind our armed forces in the fight against terrorism. Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi have also extended full support to the Centre. The people of Telangana are with them. Anyone attempting to harm India’s sovereignty will face a decisive response,” the CM said.
