One dies, two injured as families clash over liquor tender | Bhubaneswar News

Sambalpur: One person died and two injured in a clash between two families over a liquor tender in Gudramunda village under Bheden police limits in Bargarh district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Maheswar Behera (28). His two brothers sustained minor injuries.
The accused family attacked the trio over the legal liquor tender and pending money of Rs 2,100. The main accused, Bahadul Chhatria (45), attacked Maheswar with an axe and batons. Police imposed section 103(1) of BNS. Bahadul has been arrested.
Sub-divisional police officer (Bargarh) Padarbinda Tripathy told TOI, “Section 103(1) has been imposed as it is a family dispute, not a group clash. We will also investigate the role of other family members of the accused. The condition of injured is stable.”
