One dead another trapped in Telangana’s Bhadrachalam building collapse | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: A construction worker died when a six-storey building collapsed in Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. At least one more worker is said to be trapped in the debris.
The incident took place on March 26. After a rescue operation that continued late into the night, one worker, Challa Kamesh, was extricated from the debris but died while being taken to the hospital.
Another worker, whose name is said to be Upendar, is still under the debris.
The under-construction six-storey building collapsed at 2:30 pm on March 26.
The NDRF joined the rescue operations along with the rescue agencies of Singareni, fire services, and police.
The building was being constructed on a previously constructed ground floor but without the required permissions for undertaking the construction of a six-storey building.
The building, which was being constructed beside a temple, collapsed all of a sudden.
