Thane: A day after Thane municipal commissioner Saurabh Rao asked his teams to start demolishing illegal constructions in Thane and its suburbs, Kalwa-Mumbra MLA from NCP (SP) Jitendra Awhad alleged a nexus between the administration and those involved in illegal constructions.
“Many officials may have received kickbacks to allow these constructions to flourish and they must be held accountable,” Awhad said.
