Odisha to Establish 8 New Kendriya Vidyalayas for Quality Education |

Bhubaneswar: The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday approved the opening of eight new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) under the civil/defence sector in Odisha. These KVs will be established at ITBP Khurda, Titlagarh and Patnagarh in Balangir district, Athmallik and Talcher in Angul district, Kuchinda in Sambalpur district, Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district and Jeypore in Koraput district.
Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed gratitude to PM Modi for approving the establishment of eight new KVs in Odisha and 85 across the country, as well as 28 new Navodaya Vidyalayas. “These new schools have been approved with the aim of providing high-quality education across the country, including Odisha, in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy,” said Pradhan, who represents Sambalpur parliamentary constituency.
Students, particularly those from SC, ST, and OBC communities, will benefit from the move. There will be an improvement in the quality of education at the school level. Students’ mental, physical, critical thinking, and intellectual abilities will be enhanced, said Pradhan. TNN
