Odisha State Book Festival 2023: A Literary Celebration from December 6 to 17 |

Bhubaneswar: The sixth Odisha State Book Festival will commence on December 6 at the Exhibition Ground, in Unit-3 here and will continue till December 17. Organised by the Odisha Language, Literature, and Culture Department, the event promises a vibrant literary experience for readers and writers alike.
This year, the festival will feature around 400 stalls, with participation from 200 publishers and booksellers. Three theme-based pavilions will focus on the lives and contributions of Utkal Keshari Dr Harekrushna Mahatab, Lord Buddha, Birsa Munda and other freedom fighters, showcasing their enduring legacy.
Key highlights of the festival include the naming of various venues to honour eminent literary figures. The main entrance will be named after Dr Harekrushna Mahatab, the central stage after Satakadi Hota, the inner entrance after Poet Harihar Mishra, and an internal platform after Satyaranjan Bahidar. Additionally, portraits of iconic Odia litterateurs will be displayed throughout the venue.
The festival will host a literary corner for discussions, book launches and interactive sessions for authors and readers. A dedicated food court will feature stalls by Odisha Tourism Development Corporation, Koraput Coffee, Millet Mission and Mission Shakti.
