Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Wednesday offered the first ticket for the upcoming India-England ODI, scheduled at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Feb 9, to Lord Jagannath. OCA secretary Sanjay Behera visited the Puri Jagannath Temple to present the first ticket to the deity. He said that in Odia tradition, extending the first invitation to Lord Jagannath for significant events is considered auspicious. Behera said the OCA sought divine blessings from Lord Jagannath to ensure smooth conduct of the match.TNN
